I wanted to share with you some new features and site developments. We believe these new features will make your experience on the site more enjoyable and rewarding.
Increased Exposure
Our headlines now appear on many additional sites including Zacks, Yahoo finance, Investing.com, Benzinga, Seeking Alpha, Huffington Post and many others as part of a free headline exchange.
Exclusive articles (those not available on any other free site for 48 hours) are promoted on numerous 3rd party sites such sites Bloomberg, Reuters, Yahoo Finance, CNBC, CNN and others for a total reach of over 400 million monthly readers.
Every headline now automatically goes out to Twitter and StockTwits along with related keywords (hashtags) and stock tickers (cashtags) with a hyperlink back to the article. If you link your TalkMarkets account to your Twitter and StockTwits profiles, you also have the option of having these headlines go out on your profile as well, earning you more equity.
There are now “share options” at the end of each post so you can easily share articles to nearly 100 social media sites. Every well-known site is included as are many up-and-coming social companies.
You can now post social icons on your TalkMarkets profile which links to your own profile on these sites, helping you to get more followers.
Improved Customization
Comments can now be filtered by your investment sophistication level.
In addition to following specific contributors, we've enhanced the users' ability to personalize the site by overriding our customization tools and removing contributors from appearing in their customized feeds, email alerts or even on the homepage. Similarly, they can save time by blacklisting stocks which they have no interest in (thank you to contributor IPO Candy for this suggestion) and remove related posts from their customized feeds, emails and homepage.
Users also have the option of blocking any user. All activity, including commenting on the site by these users will never be visible to them.
Users are still recommended content that is an exact match for their interests, but now have an additional section where they are recommended content which is a partial match. This brings their attention to content they would most likely enjoy, but might not otherwise see.
